Deaf dog: Cody (aka The Newcastle Codeman) is Shetland Sheepdog puppy who was born deaf. Cody is being taught basic obedience using sign language. Once he grows older, he will be in training to become a therapy dog and participate in agility and perhaps sheep herding for fun.
Human companions: Stacy L Hindt, her husband Robert, and their toddler Katie.
Other pets: an older sheltie; four cats: Brat, Honey, Emily Elizabeth, and Simon Atherton.

Deaf dog: "We are the proud owners of four Dalmatians, 3 bilaterally deaf, one unilaterally. Eloise is our only female. She also qualifies as our "hyper" Dal. She was born in July, 2000. Linus , who was born the same month, is our uni. He adores Eloise and is her shadow. Rudy was our first "failed" foster. We couldn't part with him. He was borh in July, 2001. He is a Bassett Hound in a Dal costume. Very laid back. Will , our second failed foster, was born in April, 2002. He is a real Mama's boy. Our dogs were all Willing Hearts Dal Rescues and are now much loved members of our family."

Deaf dog: Dice is a 4 year old Dalmatian. "Dice is a wonderul dog. He is my first deaf and rescue dog. He has become such an important part of my life and has opened my eyes to see just how smart and well behaved rescue and deaf dogs can be. After only having him for 3 months, he has already graduated from a basic obedience class. He has learned many new tricks that help him and me communicate better. He is the best dog I have ever had."

Deaf dog: Maxine is an American Bull dog that is 2 1/2 years old she is a wonderful dog. I have had her since brith & just love her to death. Her antics & attention getters are just great. She will crawl up on the couch with me even if there isn't room for me just to be next to me. I have her mom and brother who are hearing but they all play great and love each other. Most People don't know she is a deaf dog at all as she is such a sweetheart. She loves to meet new people & ride in the car. Walks are always fun as she will sit when anyone new comes up to her to meet.

Deaf dog: We adopted Snoopy from a boxer rescue. We choose him because he is just the cutest thing and he is just an angel. He is still a puppy and we are working with him to learn more signs and gestures.
